get to know
I’m Calebria, a combined mezzo-soprano diva and vocal music educator. I was born, raised in, and am based in Detroit. I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and taught elementary, middle, and high school chorus for three years in Charlotte, NC. I missed home, and family and friends, so in 2014, I relocated back to Detroit to pursue my Master of Music in Vocal Performance at Wayne State University.
Music with Calebria was (officially) born in 2017, and has been an adventure since. I’ve had students who were newbies to singing, and some semi-professional singers. I’ve explored old and new repertoire for each of their voices, from classical to musical theater, to R&B, and jazz. I love to see (and hear) the progress my students make in lessons and through performance opportunities, both in and out of the studio.
